The Peace and Security Advancement Network
is a Ghana-based non-governmental organization committed to promoting peace, security, and stability in Ghana and across the West African sub-region.
Founded from the Journalists Network for Peace and Security (JNEPS) in 2015, SPAN-GHANA has evolved into a leading security and peace think tank, uniting experts from diverse fields to address the growing security challenges in our society.
Our Journey
What began as an initiative to prevent election violence and vigilantism has grown into a broader movement for national peace and resilience. Through research, dialogue, and community action, SPAN-GHANA continues to serve as a bridge between policymakers, the media, and local communities in advancing peace and human security.
Our Mission
To contribute to a safer, more secure, and peaceful Ghana through informed analysis, advocacy, and collaboration that empower citizens and strengthen national stability
Our Vision
A Ghana and West Africa where peace, justice, and security prevail — creating an environment where every citizen can thrive and reach their full potential.
